Next Tuesday, September 21, is national "Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day." Secretary of the US Department of Human and Health Services, Tommy Thompson, has designated the day to encourage individuals to go to a doctor or health professional for a health screening.
"Because of Doctor Day, thousands of Americans are showing their family, friends and colleagues how much they care by taking them to the doctor. This one preventative measure can help add years to someone's life," explains Thompson. "Preventable diseases take a terrible toll on our nation, especially in minority communities."
Kennewick General Hospital and Northwest Practice Management are urging the community to take advantage of "Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day" on September 21st. Pick up the phone and make a Dr. appointment for someone you care about - you could be adding years to their life.
