Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

This course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of the hospital. The course will enhance the participant’s skills in the treatment of arrest and pre-arrest patients through actively participating in a series of simulated cardiopulmonary cases. (CEU = 12.5 Initial, 6.5 Renewal)

Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider

This course is for individuals who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings, both inside and outside the hospital.

Basic Rhythm Interpretation

This course will equip the participant to recognize a wide variety of dysrhythmias. The course is targeted to the novice without prior experience or for those who may desire an extensive review. A spectrum of atrial, junctional, and ventricular dysrhythmias will be covered with an emphasis on developing recognition skills. For successful course completion, students must complete the closed-book written exam with a minimum score of 80% or higher. (CEU = 8.0)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

This course will help you learn to resuscitate newborns. Birth asphyxia accounts for about 19% of approximately 5 million neonatal deaths that occur each year worldwide. For many of these newborns, appropriate resuscitation was unavailable. Therefore, the outcomes of thousands of newborns per year might be improved by more widespread use of the resuscitation techniques taught in this program. Prior to taking this course, participants must read the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 6th Edition (or view the DVD that accompanies the book) and pass the NRP online examination. (CEU = 6.5)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

The goal of this course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. For successful course completion, participants must complete and pass the online pre-test indicated in their confirmation letter. A printed copy of the pre-test certificate of completion must be provided when reporting to this class. (CEU = 12.5 Initial, 6.5 Renewal)

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Trauma is a major threat to the immediate and often long-term health of individuals. The Emergency Nurses Association responded to the needs of trauma patients by developing the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). This two-day course serves as a basis for a standardized approach to initial trauma care. (CEU = 14.42)

American Heart Association BLS/Heartsaver Instructor Course

This course was developed according to guidelines of the American Heart Association for Basic Life Support (BLS) and Heartsaver CPR instructors. The course has three components that are discipline-specific. For successful completion of this course, students must:

  • Complete the Instructor Essentials online course
  • Demonstrate their skills in all aspects of BLS for Adult, Child, and Infant
  • Participate in teaching a BLS for the Healthcare Provider class.
