A variety of inpatient services are available at the Trios Health Hospital to help support your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being during a hospital stay.
Trios’ full-service clinical laboratory is on site and staffed around the clock to make sure blood and other laboratory tests ordered by your providers are completed in as convenient and timely a manner as possible. Pathology staff members are on site Monday through Friday for timely completion of pathology requests on body fluids and tissue made by your provider. Results are returned to your medical team as soon as they become available.
Music in a healthcare setting can improve quality of life for patients of all ages by helping:
- Promote wellness
- Manage stress
- Alleviate pain
- Express feelings
- Enhance memory
- Improve communication
- Promote physical rehabilitation.
Research shows music can help decrease anxiety, pain, and heart and respiration rates. Harvard Medical School studies show music may cause cells to release substances that suppress pain and help
During your stay at Trios Hospital, you may hear the soothing sounds of a local musician strolling the halls, sharing the healing gift of music. This is one of many ways we strive to provide total patient care, recognizing that your current physical state is just one aspect of your overall well-being.
During your stay, Trios Nutrition Services makes sure you receive a variety of nutritious foods and drinks tailored to your dietary needs. Our extensive menu suits restricted and non-restricted diets, and is available most hours of the day. If needed, our dieticians can help you make changes to maintain healthy eating and exercise habits when you go home.
Trios inpatients may receive special visits from pet therapy dogs as part of the Trios Paws for Patients program. Pet visitation has been shown to:
- Give comfort
- Improve emotional and psychological well-being
- Lower pain levels
- Relieve stress and anxiety
- Decrease recovery time
- Increase alertness
- Relieve depression and agitation
- Reduce blood pressure.
Certified pet therapy dogs are rigorously prepared to be around patients of all ages in a hospital. Trained volunteer owners have the dogs tested every six to twelve months by experienced veterinarians.
