Heather Phipps, DO, MBA
Orthopedic Surgeon with Benton Franklin Orthopedic Associates
Program Title: Designated Institutional Official, Trios Health Graduate Medical Education Program
Dr. Phipps received her DO degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. Her internship was completed at Doctor's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and her residency training was completed at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey in Stratford, New Jersey. Dr. Phipps is board certified in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Phipps received her MBA degree from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.
Dr. Phipps served for four years as Chief of Surgery at Kennewick General Hospital (now called Trios Health). She served for seven years on the board of the Benton-Franklin County Medical Society and acted on behalf of the society as a delegate to the Washington State Medical Association House of Delegates. Dr. Phipps currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. She also serves on the governing board for the Washington Osteopathic Medical Association.
Dr. Phipps has been active in precepting medical students and residents at her Benton Franklin Orthopedic Associates office in Kennewick, Washington. In her free time, Dr. Phipps enjoys hiking, skiing, photography, reading, and visiting national Parks.
Sheila Dunlop, DO
Family Medicine Physician with Trios Medical Group
Program Title: Program Director for Trios Health Family Medicine Residency
Dr. Dunlop earned her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. Her post-graduate training was completed at Suburban General Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania. After completing her residency, Dr. Dunlop worked in private practice from 1985 until 2015.
Dr. Dunlop has served as the Program Director for the Trios Health Family Medicine Residency Program since 2013 and a Regional Dean for Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences since 2009.
Dr. Dunlop is a member of multiple professional medical societies including the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Association of Family Practitioners, Washington Osteopathic Medical Association, Benton-Franklin County Medical Society, and Sigma Sigma Phi. Dr. Dunlop is well known for her involvement in and dedication to medical education.
Hani Murad, MD, FACP, CMQ
Critical Care and Internal Medicine Physician with Trios Medical Group
Program Title: Program Director for Trios Health Internal Medicine Residency
Dr. Murad earned his medical degree at the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan, in 2000. He subsequently moved to the United States to complete his residency in internal medicine at Michael Reese Hospital/University of Illinois at Chicago in 2006. He then completed his fellowship training in infectious disease and critical care medicine at the University of Rochester in New York in 2009.
Dr. Murad moved to the Tri-Cities in Washington in 2009 where he served as a staff intensivist at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. He joined Trios Medical Group in Kennewick in 2013. Dr. Murad has held multiple leadership positions at Trios Health. He served as an interim director of the Hospitalist Program and helped establish the Intensivist Program for which he continues to serve as the medical co-director. In July 2014, he was appointed Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency at Trios Health.
Dr. Murad is board certified in internal medicine, infectious disease, and critical care medicine. He is also certified in the subspecialty of neurocritical care by the United Council for Neurological Specialties.
He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of several medical societies. He has multiple interests that include critical care medicine, infectious disease, stroke, medical quality, and medical education.
