Professional Education

The following professional continuing education courses are regularly offered by Trios Health.

To sign up for a course, fill out and return the registration form or sign up online through our calendar.

NOTE: Class enrollment will close one week prior to class dates. You are not enrolled in a class until you have received a confirmation email from Trios Education Services. Unless otherwise indicated, classes will be held at the Trios Family Health Center on our Auburn campus, located at 203 W. 8th Ave., Kennewick, WA 99336.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Enhance your skills in treating cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies by actively participating in a series of simulated cardiopulmonary cases. (CEU = 12.5 Initial, 6.5 Renewal)

Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider

Learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR for all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking. An online BLS option is available for learners seeking flexibility in conjunction with an in-person skills check-off scheduled with an AHA-certified instructor.

Skills Check-Off - $30 (additional charge by AHA applied for online portion)

Wednesdays between 9 am and Noon, by appointment only

  • To take an online American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider course, please visit onlineaha.org.
  • Upon completing an American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. You must provide this certificate at the beginning of your scheduled BLS Skills Check-Off.*

*Only courses offered and approved by the American Heart Association can be accepted. Without a proper completion certificate, you are not eligible to participate in a BLS Skills Check-Off.

Basic Rhythm Interpretation

Learn to identify a wide variety of dysrhythmias. The course is for the novice without prior experience or for those who may desire an extensive review. A spectrum of atrial, junctional, and ventricular dysrhythmias will be covered, with an emphasis on developing recognition skills. (CEU = 8.0)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

This course teaches an evidence-based approach to newborn resuscitation to hospital staff including physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists. (CEU = 6.5)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Prepare for pediatric emergencies with simulated exercises and a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, treatment of algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. (CEU = 12.5 Initial, 6.5 Renewal)

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Empower yourself with the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and hands-on training to provide expert nursing care to trauma patients. (CEU = 17.65)
