UW Medicine Community Health Partnership
Creating a Healthier Community
Partnering to help advance patient care in communities through Washington, Alaska and Idaho.
As a UW Medicine Community Health Partner, Trios Health has a close working relationship with UW Medicine to advance patient care in our community.
UW Medicine and LifePoint Health created a public-private partnership to bring the strengths of the two organizations to communities in Washington, Alaska and Idaho. The partnership will operate community hospitals or other healthcare entities as UW Medicine Community Health Partners. Working together, LifePoint Health operates and manages the facility and UW Medicine provides nationally recognized expertise in clinical care, patient safety and quality improvement.
World-class care with a local touch
Our partnership enhances Trios Health's focus on patients by adding UW Medicine’s quality and safety expertise as an additional resource for local clinicians. By working together, the two organizations hope to improve access to care and keep patients close to home.
When care is needed outside of the community, our partnership allows us to securely share electronic health records and enables real-time clinician-to-clinician dialogue. This means we can work with the top medical experts who can provide specialized consultations and, if necessary, facilitate the transfer of patients to the best available care while staying connected locally.
Improving the health of all we serve
UW Medicine is one of the top-rated academic medical systems in the world. With a mission to improve the health of the public, UW Medicine educates the next generation of physicians and scientists, leads one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive medical research programs, and provides outstanding care to patients from across the globe.
In addition, the UW School of Medicine, part of the UW Medicine system, leads the internationally recognized, community-based WWAMI Program and serves the states of Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. Also part of the UW Medicine system are Airlift Northwest and the UW Physicians practice group, the largest physician practice plan in the region.
