Patient Privacy

What to Expect in the Trios Emergency Room
Your Arrival
Upon arrival in the ER, you will be evaluated by a Trios triage nurse to determine the seriousness of your illness or injury. It is important that those most critically ill or injured are treated first, regardless of arrival time.
After this evaluation, registration will begin. You will be asked to provide information about yourself, your medical history, primary care doctor, and health insurance. It is important that you bring pertinent medical information and documentation with you, if you are able. You will be asked to sign a consent form authorizing medical treatment for yourself, or for your child if they need emergency care.
Your Wait
Our goal is to provide patients with the best possible emergency care in a safe and timely manner, but full-service treatment does take time. You may have to wait for diagnostic tests including lab work, x-rays and other scans, or physician analysis and consultation. These things can be time-consuming—especially during an emergency health challenge—but they are necessary to provide you with excellent, thorough medical attention. Rest assured that we will treat you as quickly as possible, without sacrificing the quality of your care.
If you or a loved one has a life-threatening condition, call 911. For your other unexpected emergency needs, we welcome you and encourage you to travel safely to the Trios Emergency Services department.
If you are not sure whether your situation is an emergency, consider Trios Urgent Care Centers as an alternative treatment option for non-emergent illnesses or injuries.
