March 15, 2022

Trios Health is pleased to share that Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Weed has honored Peter Cain, DPT, with an Award for Excellence Air Force medal.
“On behalf of the President of the United States and a grateful nation, this Award for Excellence is given to physical therapist Peter Cain for honorable and faithful service rendered to his military patients in Kennewick, Washington, year 2022,” Lt Col Weed shared with Cain when presenting the award.
Cain has practiced physical therapy at Trios Health for approximately a year, and Lt Col Weed has been one of his patients for much of that time. Cain said he was honored and surprised by the award.
“It’s an honor to be able to treat veterans and those who have served and be able to give back to them for giving us so much,” Cain said.
Lt Col Weed said the Award for Excellence “is authorized by Congress for commissioned officers like myself to award to those who do something outstanding to help the military.”
Lt Col Weed served during the Vietnam War and Cold War and as part of the Peace Corps. He is also a retired public school teacher. He said he is grateful for the care he and other veterans receive at Trios Health Therapy Services.
“Peter’s just great. I feel so much better than I have, and he represents what I believe in,” Lt Col Weed said. “He goes into the cutting edge and has been doing myofascial release with me. I’ve been on the cutting edge of this new science. He’s gone above and beyond for me and other military members.”
