Trios Health is proud to announce that Registered Nurse Heidi Morrison has been selected as a recipient of the DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses, a recognition reserved for nurses who exemplify exceptional compassion, clinical excellence, and dedication to patient care.

Since joining Trios Health in April 2023 as part of the Med/Surg team, Heidi has consistently demonstrated a commitment to caring for some of the organization’s most complex and vulnerable patients. Her nomination rose to the top for the DAISY Committee due to the heartfelt compassion she shows not only to patients, but also to their families during critical moments.

“Heidi leads with heart in every interaction,” said Kena Chase, Market Chief Nursing Officer. “Her calm presence, clinical skill, and genuine empathy make a meaningful difference for our patients and our staff every day. We are proud to celebrate her as a DAISY Award honoree.”

Heidi was nominated by a patient’s family member, who shared: “She is a very compassionate nurse—attentive to her patient and to the grieving family. I thank God and upper management for listening and caring about my concerns for my husband’s welfare. Kudos are due to Heidi! She is thorough, explains everything, and keeps her word. She says she loves her job, and it shows!”

The DAISY Award® is an international program established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes to honor the extraordinary nursing care he received. Today, the award continues to celebrate nurses who exemplify exceptional compassion and clinical excellence around the world.
