Trios Health rang in 2026 with the year’s first bundle of joy. Weighing 5 pounds and 12 ounces and measuring 18 inches, Mia Marie was born to Margarita and Sergio on Thursday, January 1st, at 6:31 a.m.

“We are delighted to welcome our newest family member,” said Margarita. “The physicians, nurses, and staff at Trios Birth Center delivered outstanding care, and we sincerely thank them for helping make this a truly special experience.”

Trios Birth Center is dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate care close to home for new and expecting parents in the region. The unit opened in March 2022, and more than 4,500 babies have been born in the new unit since it moved from the former Auburn campus. Trios Birth Center includes two dedicated rooms for Caesarean Section deliveries, six Labor and Delivery (LDR) rooms, 11 postpartum rooms, and a 10-bed Special Care Nursery, A Level II NICU, for babies born after 32 weeks' gestation.

“Our exceptional clinical and support teams are dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for mothers and their babies, on New Year’s Day and throughout the year,” said Melissa Wilson, Trios Birth Center Director at Trios Health. “It’s truly one of our greatest privileges to support families in our community as they welcome their newest members in a healthy, positive, and memorable way.”
